# Create car event (drop-off / intake)

> Requires `write:cars`. Creating a facility photo-session event (not a calendar-only appointment). Pass `activityType` (e.g. `vehicle_drop_off`) or `eventTypeId`. For drop-off, provide exactly one of `parkingSpotId` or `parkingZoneId` — the caller must also hold the write:parking scope when assigning parking. Optional `occurredAt` backdates the event. Default status is `uploaded` so photos can still be attached via `POST /cars/{id}/photos`.
