Why we built it
QuickBooks Desktop reads IIF as Windows-1252 and enforces short item and document number fields. Long Stripe product titles and invoice numbers used to truncate into collisions, curly quotes and × broke imports, and account rows were easy to misread. More reliable QuickBooks Desktop exports sanitizes risky Unicode, allocates unique names and doc numbers within Desktop limits (keeping distinguishing digits at the end when possible), and writes clearer account sections so bookkeepers spend less time fixing files after File → Import. Pair with Flexible QuickBooks Desktop exports when you want the same range as Excel before importing IIF.
