Contacts

Customize the contact page

Choose which blocks appear on every customer's contact page and drag to reorder them within their column.

Use this guide when your team wants a cleaner contact page: hide blocks you never use (for example Market Interests or QuickBooks) and put the blocks you open most near the top.

The layout is team-wide — every staff member sees the same contact page. It does not affect what customers see in their portal.

Before you start

  • You have the Contacts permission (or full admin access). Everyone can view the settings; only members with that permission can change them.
  • Open a customer's contact page first so you know which blocks you want to change.

Steps

  1. Open Settings → CRM

Scroll to Contact page. It is a preview of a contact page: every block is a card, laid out where it will load — the left column, the right column, and below the columns.

  2. Turn a block on or off

Use the switch in the bottom-right corner of a card. Cards that are off turn grey and dashed. Changes save automatically — watch for Saved next to the Reset button.

Some blocks only appear when there is something to show (Portfolio Value needs at least one car; Account Balance needs payments and a Stripe customer; QuickBooks needs the integration connected). Turning such a block on does not force it to appear.

  3. Reorder blocks

Drag a card by the handle in its top-right corner, or focus the handle and press Space, then the arrow keys, then Space again. Blocks stay inside their column — a block from the left column cannot move to the right column.

  4. Check a contact page

Open any customer. Hidden blocks are gone and the remaining blocks follow your order.

Helpful context

Hiding a block only changes what the page shows. The underlying data (notes, payments, documents) is untouched and still available in reports, the activity feed, and the API.
