Connect Shopmonkey
Sync Shopmonkey appointments and work orders onto the CSS schedule, then optionally write changes back.
Shopmonkey jobs become CSS events so the shop calendar and the storage schedule stay in one place. Appointments map to scheduled events. Work orders attach as job details on those events. If a work order has no appointment, CSS still creates an event from the due or created date.
This lives under Settings > Integrations, not Services & schedule.
What you will accomplish
- Enable Shopmonkey from Settings → Integrations, then paste the API key and connect.
- Map Shopmonkey locations and workflow columns to CSS facilities and statuses.
- Import recent jobs and confirm they appear on Schedule.
Before you start
- Your Shopmonkey plan includes API access and webhooks.
- You need the Schedule permission to open Settings > Integrations.
- Create a Shopmonkey API key in Shopmonkey Settings → API.
- Know which Shopmonkey location matches each CSS facility.
Connect Shopmonkey
- Open Integrations
Go to Settings > Integrations and click Shopmonkey.
- Enable the integration
Turn on Enable this integration. Connecting an API key no longer turns Shopmonkey on by itself.
- Paste the API key
Paste the Shopmonkey key and click Connect Shopmonkey. That registers a webhook for appointments, work orders, customers, and vehicles.
- Map locations and statuses
Match each Shopmonkey location to a CSS facility. Optionally map workflow columns to CSS statuses, and CSS statuses back to Shopmonkey for write-back.
- Import recent jobs
Use Import last 90 days, then open Schedule and confirm a known job is there.
Customers and vehicles match an existing CSS record by the Shopmonkey mapping first, then VIN or email/phone. License plate alone is never treated as unique.
Inbound sync does not text customers or create Stripe charges unless you turn those options on.
Optional two-way sync
After a job is linked, reschedules, notes, and status changes in CSS write back to Shopmonkey.
To create Shopmonkey records for new CSS events, turn on Create matching Shopmonkey jobs for new CSS events and optionally limit that to specific event types.
What success looks like
- The Shopmonkey card shows Connected.
- New Shopmonkey appointments appear on the CSS calendar without a manual import.
- Opening a synced event shows the Shopmonkey work order number and status.

What to do next
Return to Services & schedule if you need to adjust the Shopmonkey Job event type. For accounting connections that are already on, see Connect accounting integrations.
